A survey by the charity Saves the Children.

At least five children have been killed or injured every day in war-torn Afghanistan for the last 14 years, following a survey by charity Save the Children.

Save the Children says that according to the United Nations, 26,025 children were killed, maimed in the conflict in Afghanistan between 2005 and 2019.

Ahead of an important meeting of donor countries in Geneva yesterday, the charity called on donor countries and groups around the world to protect the future of children.

    Afghanistan is dangerous for children.

According to Save the Children, Afghanistan is one of the 11 most dangerous countries for children.

From a list of people slain, mutilate in global war and riots in 2019, the charity found that 64 children had died and another 2,265 had been maimed in Afghanistan alone. Two-thirds of children slain or mutilate last year were boys. Save the Children says the children have been slaughtered or injure in a series of explosive attacks, including clashes between pro-government and anti-government forces and suicide bombings.

Violence by the Taliban and other insurgent groups with American-backed Afghan government forces

The report said Afghan schools were often used as a trap in attacks by the Taliban and other insurgent groups in ongoing battles with American-backed Afghan government forces. Save the Children says there have been at least 300 school attacks between 2016 and 2019.  Get insightful information on Business Sports Music Games Entertainment Food and Technology. The people of Afghanistan have witnessed decades of war violence, killing millions of people. After the September 11, 2001, attack on the Twin Towers in New York, the US military invaded Afghanistan that same year to oust the Taliban.  Taliban have been expelled from power, but have since reorganized, are in control of large parts of the country.

    Withdrawal of troops

The United States began withdrawing troops from Afghanistan in February after signing an agreement with rebel groups. However, as the Taliban’s authority grows, and their peace talks with the Afghan government stall, violence is on the rise again.

At least eight people were killed, and more than 30 were injured in a deadly rocket attack in Kabul last weekend.
